Through the application process, students are chosen as delegates to represent their schools and communities from all areas of the state.

Student delegates will participate in the career leadership-training program at the University of Missouri at Columbia from July 26 to July 29.

The program's focus is to promote students' leadership, citizenship and social skills development.

Forum topics include leadership principles and application, disability experience and resource sharing, assistive technology, career goal development, independent living and advocacy skill building.

The goal is for students to have fun while they learn to become active leaders in their communities.
