The following students were awarded with white coats by the St. Louis College of Pharmacy: Hillary Merick of Zalma, Mo.; Danielle Robbins and Nicholas LeGrand of Cape Girardeau; Amber Crites and Benjamin Buescher of Jackson.
Cody Kern of Benton, Mo., was recently inducted into the Beta Beta Beta national biological honor society and Alpha Chi Honor Society at William Woods University.
Southeast students appointed as ambassadors
Amanda Thiele of Marble Hill, Mo.; Sharon Berry of Cape Girardeau; Stephen Willard of Bloomfield, Mo.; and Jesse Weyand of Fredericktown, Mo., were appointed by Southeast Missouri State University president Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins to serve as presidential ambassadors. Presidential ambassadors are goodwill student representatives of the president and university.
Rebecca Fehr of Cape Girardeau was the awarded a $1,500 grant for continuing education. The grant was awarded by the Jackson chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization. Fehr is a student at Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
The following students have been awarded scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2012-2013 academic year:
* Abigail Hamblin of Cape Girardeau was awarded the Regents' Scholarship;
* Tory Powell of Sikeston, Mo., was awarded the President's Plus Scholarship;
* Stetson Tuschhoff of Jackson was awarded the President's Scholarship;
* Zachary Vogel of Jackson was awarded the Governor's Housing Scholarship and Governor's Scholarship.
