* The following students received scholarships to attend Missouri Baptist University: Anna Nice of Cape Girardeau and Kenton Robinson of Sikeston, Mo., both received the Faculty Scholarship; Dustin Chaney and Jalen Peet, both of Sikeston, received the President's Scholarship; Aaron Arnzen of Cape Girardeau, Juliet Dickey of Glennallen, Mo., and Brandon Looman of Jackson all received the Dean's Scholarship.
* Laura Glueck of Oak Ridge graduated from A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine with her doctorate in osteopathic medicine.
* U.S. Navy Ensign John P. Waggener of Cape Girardeau recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
* Dustin Oehl of Oak Ridge was among the area high school valedictorians honored at the KFVS12 Heartland's Best ceremony.
* Tiffany Winters and Dakota Gibson, both of Scott City, received the U.S. Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Outstanding Musician Award.
