Kidd participates in Boys State

Wyatt Kidd

Wyatt Kidd, son of Mary and Kenneth Kidd of Delta, Mo., was selected to participate in the American Legion Boys State of Missouri, held in June at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. Kidd was selected based on his leadership, citizenship, academics and character during his junior year at Delta High School. Kidd was sponsored at Boys State by American Legion Post 063.

Bader, Tetley graduate from Fontbonne

Kyle Bader of Cape Girardeau and Courtney Tetley of Chaffee, Mo., were awarded degrees at Fontbonne University's graduation ceremony May 18. Bader received a bachelor of fine arts degree and Tetley received a bachelor of arts degree. Fontbonne University is a Catholic coeducational institution in St. Louis.

Buchheit earns master's degree

Kyle L. Buchheit was awarded a master's degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo., during commencement exercises June 17. Buchheit's degree is in addition to a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and bachelor of arts degree in economics he received in 2011 from the same university. Buchheit is continuing his education at Missouri S and T where he plans to receive a doctoral degree in chemical engineering in 2015.

Kern named to dean's list

Cody Kern of Benton, Mo., was named to the dean's list at William Woods University for the 2013 spring semester. To be named to the list, a student must be full time and have achieved a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. William Woods University is in Fulton, Mo.
