Scholarships

* Danae Essner, a graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, and Steven Meyer, a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, both received the Cape Evening Lions Club Calvin R. Wells Scholarship. Essner will attend Fontbonne University in St. Louis and Meyer will attend Southeast Missouri State University.

Honors/achievements

* The following Scott City High School students received awards: Mariah Schott received the National School Choral Award; Nicholas Hester received the High School Band Director's Award and enlisted in the U.S. Navy; Andrea Gray received The Glory of Missouri Equality Award and enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Dr. David Robbins

* Dr. David Robbins of Cape Girardeau recently graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He is employed by Walmart Pharmacy in Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

* Kerri Essner of Cape Girardeau was named to the dean's list at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., for the spring 2012 semester.

* Devin Bell of Cape Girardeau recently received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
