Scholarships

* Kali Myers of Cape Girardeau received the MFA Oil Co. Board of Directors scholarship. Myers plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University.

* Gabe Kielhofner, a graduate of Oran High School, received the Scott County Women in Agriculture scholarship. Kielhofner plans to major in agricultural systems management at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

* Ava Andersson of Cape Girardeau received the Chancellor's Scholarship from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. A graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, Andersson plans to major in architecture.

* Mary E. Al-Sayed of Cape Girardeau was named to the spring semester dean's list at Boston University.

* Laura Lusk of Cape Girardeau made the provost's and vice president for academic affairs' list for the spring semester at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. She is a 2008 graduate of Central High School.

* Tyler Grantham of Jackson graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.

* Matthew Roethemeyer of Jackson graduated with a master's degree in education from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, Roethemeyer is a physical education teacher in the Jackson School District.

* Lauren Francis of Cape Girardeau graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Monmouth College. Francis is preparing to attend medical school in the fall of 2011. She is a 2006 graduate of St. Vincent High School in Perryville, Mo.
