Scholarships

* Harlie VanCleve Waldon of Cape Girardeau has received the newly established Chapter BI, PEO Anniversary Scholarship. The chapter was chartered in 1911 in Cape Girardeau, and, in honor of its centennial, has endowed $10,000 to establish the scholarship, awarded to female Cape Girardeau County residents. This year's scholarship, awarded to Waldon, is for $500.

* Aurilla Lawrence of Jackson has been awarded the Regent's Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2011-2012 academic year.
