Rathael Fambro II of Cape Girardeau received a master of architecture degree and Kathryn Schmitt McCain of Perryville, Mo., received a doctorate from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

SCHOLARSHIPS

William McLeod of Cape Girardeau Central High School, Samantha Leirer and Benjamin Sirrine of Jackson High School and Elizabeth Buchheit and Matthew Kiblinger of Notre Dame Regional High School received a college scholarship from Procter & Gamble.

Sarah Eichhorn of Scott City High School received a scholarship from Procter & Gamble, a Presidents Scholarship from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, the Alice Bohannan Memorial Scholarship and the Keith Anderson Scholarship.

Britney Heuring of Kelly High School received a MAP Scholarship from Southeast Missouri State University, a scholarship trust from the Sikeston Elks Lodge #2319, a scholarship from the Benton Chamber of Commerce, a Benton MFA scholarship and the Commerce Better Community club scholarship.

Kyla Mouser of Marquand, Mo., received the SEMO District Fair Foundation Scholarship. She is majoring in agribusiness at Southeast Missouri State University.

Derek Brucher of Oak Ridge, Drew Wibbenmeyer of Cape Girardeau and Kevin Goodman of Jackson have been awarded a Missouri Leadership Award and a MAP Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University next school year. Caleb Estes of Scott City and Tommi Lantz, Sarah Keller and Haley Pilsner of Cape Girardeau received a MAP Scholarship. Sierra Bollinger of Burfordville and Leah Powers of Cape Girardeau received a Regents' Scholarship and MAP Scholarship. Sirena Watkins of Cape Girardeau received a President's Plus Scholarship.

Veronica Bennett of Chaffee, Mo., has been awarded the Ruth A. Buckhannon Memorial RN Scholarship.

HONORS

Kelli Nagel of Jackson and Rachel Harris of Cape Girardeau, both students at Southeast Missouri State University, were selected to attend the 21st Century Leadership Academy this past week.

Christy Laxton of Scott City received the Alpha Epsilon Delta Anatomy Award during an Honors Convocation on April 20 at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.

SCHOOL NEWS

Kelly High School in Benton, Mo., received a $200 Student Paths Career Center Award from Commerce Bank. The money is meant to help students transition from high school.
