Honor and achievements

Boy Scout Jesse Mahan was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at the Court of Honor on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the VFW Hall in Cape Girardeau. Jesse is the son of Gary and Gale Mahan of Cape Girardeau.

Dean's list

Alicia Petzoldt of Frohna, Mo., was named to the dean's list during the fall 2013 semester at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. Named to the list are students who achieve a 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester.
