Scholarships
The following Scott City graduates received scholarships:
* Shannon Raz received the President's Scholarship and the Dr. Kathi D. Clement Endowed Scholarship to major in education at Southeast Missouri State University.
* Rachel Reed received the Advance Knights of Columbus Post 7063 Scholarship. She plans to major in education at Southeast Missouri State University.
* Katrina Schiwitz received a cheerleading scholarship from Mineral Area Community College, where she plans to major in early childhood education.
* Alexis Simpson received a volleyball scholarship from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Mo., where she plans to major in finance.
* Christopher Stickel received the Paul Guard Honor Scholarship and the Scott City PTO Scholarship and plans to major in biology at Southeast Missouri State University.
* Melissa Thomas received the Scott City Women's Club and the Scott City PTO scholarships. She plans to attend the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center to study nursing.
* Emily Weatherspoon received the Keith Anderson Memorial scholarship and plans to study health care at the Cape Career and Technology Center.
* John Winters III received the Army GI Bill scholarship to the U.S. Army.
* Nyssa Young received the Missouri Leadership Award for housing at Southeast Missouri State University, where she plans to major in psychology. Young also received the Scott City Security Bank and Trust Scholarship.
* Holli Shemonia of Scott City received scholarships to Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., where she plans to major in historic preservation.
Honors, achievements
* Molly M. Finch of Cape Girardeau graduated cum laude for the spring 2010 semester at Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in business administration.
