Olivia Bradshaw, a senior at the University of Central Missouri, was part of the crew for the university's production of "A Thai Tale" that ran from Sept. 22 to 24. Bradshaw, daughter of Joseph Bradshaw and Diann Bradshaw-Ulmer of Scott City, was the sound designer for the production. Bradshaw was a 2010 graduate of Scott City High School. The University of Central Missouri is in Warrensburg, Mo.
Michael Sprengel of Cape Girardeau was awarded a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Purdue University during spring commencement exercises. Purdue University is in West Lafayette, Ind.
Christina Brooke Perry recently graduated from the St. Louis University School of Law. Perry attended the University of Missouri at St. Louis as an undergraduate, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in English. Perry is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School, and she is the daughter of Dr. Robert and Jane Perry.
More than 1,000 candidates received degrees from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo., during commencement ceremonies in May. Student commended in merit scholarship program
Taylor Bock, a student at Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Mo., has been named as a commended student in the 2014 Mational Merit Scholarship Program. Bock will receive a letter of commendation from Oak Ridge High School and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
