Walters, others earn Welding Merit Badge

Teague Walters of Boy Scout Troop 5 of Cape Girardeau recently earned his Welding Merit Badge at the Career and Technology Center in Sikeston, Mo. Four other Troop 5 scouts, Dylan Hackler, Garrett Auer, Max Dale and Sean Murphy, also received the badge. The Welding Merit Badge made its debut with the BSA in 2012 and these scouts are the first from Troop 5 to receive the badge. Boy Scout Troop 4041 of Sikeston sponsored this Merit Badge opportunity, and the scouts earned the Metal Working Merit Badge. Teague Walters is the son of Darren and Kristen Walters.
