VFW Post donation supports Missouri Veterans Home

Commander Jeff Heise, left, and quartermaster Scott Smith of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau present a check for $1,300 to Debbie Monroe of the Missouri Veterans Home. These funds are used for weekly bingo games for the residents of the home. This is only a portion of the annual support the veterans home receives from Post 3838. Additional support includes a $1,500 sponsorship of the golf tournament, preparation and donation of a special meal served at the home on Father's Day, and hosting the annual employee appreciation dinner.
