The Trinity Lutheran Girl Scout Troop recently did its part to make Cape Girardeau more beautiful. Earlier this month, the Scouts helped pick up trash from the streets of Old Town Cape as part of the the Adopt-a-Street program that their church, Trinity Lutheran, is part of. Each month an organization from the Trinity Lutheran Church volunteers to clean up their adopted street for the day. When Trinity Lutheran Girl Scout leader Vicki Zickfield asked her troops if they would be interested in participating, they jumped at the opportunity. The girls spent about 45 minutes to an hour picking up trash from Fredrick to Lorimier Street.
