Three local activists were honored at the Church Women United World Community Day Celebration in November. Pat King and Bob and Kim Bonney were given the Human Rights Award for their participation in activities that helped the community, especially the youth of the community. King is a mother and grandmother, and works as community development assistant at Cape Area Family Resource Center where she is the director of the after school program and a parent liaison and caseworker for LIFE. Bob Bonney is a captain with the Jackson Police Department. He and Kim work with CSI (Christ's Servants Incorporated).
