Teams help flood victims

Members of local baseball teams stepped up to help communities with flood devastation. The Sikeston Bulldogs, Scott County Central Braves and Charleston Bluejays all had members helping out. The Bulldogs sandbagged houses last week with help from the sandbagging station at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo grounds. The entire Scott Central Braves team drove to Vanduser to sandbag and help fellow teammates and neighbors. Charleston Bluejays helped family and friends evacuate areas affected by the levee detonation.
