Several students have been named presidential ambassadors at Southeast Missouri State University, including the following:

Joanne Amarasekera of Cape Girardeau, a junior pursuing a degree in technology management with an option in telecommunications and computer networking. Amarasekera is the daughter of Maj. Gen. Ubaya Anil Bandara and Mahesha Shreeni De Medawela of New York City and is a 2007 graduate of Holy Family Convent.

Randeya Amarasekera of Cape Girardeau, a sophomore pursuing a degree in environmental science policy and communication. Amaresekera is the son of Maj. Gen. Ubaya Anil Bandara and Mahesha Shreehi De Medawela of New York City and is a 2010 graduate of Lyceum International School.

Kacie Hampton of Marble Hill, Missouri, a junior pursuing a degree in exceptional- child education. Hampton is the daughter of Chris and Aimee Hampton of Marble Hill and is a 2014 graduate of Leopold High School.

Luke LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, a sophomore pursuing degrees in accounting and economics and a minor in Spanish. LeGrand is the son of Randy and Nancy LeGrand of Cape Girardeau and is a 2015 graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School.
