New McKendree United Methodist Church hosts a concert benefiting Love INC featuring the musical groups Restless Spirit and Covenant Kids Choir.

The Chapel Choir from First United Methodist Church of Downers Grove, Ill., visits Grace United Methodist for a concert featuring this high school choir's contemporary Christian, worship, gospel and spiritual music.

Spring dinner

Concordia Lutheran Church hosts its annual spring dinner. The menu includes chicken and dumplings with trimmings. There is a reduced price for children ages 6 to 12 years old.

Community meal

Christ Episcopal Church hosts a free community meal of homemade soups, grilled sandwiches and dessert.

When: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday

Lent

Lenten reflection time and meal

St. Mark Lutheran Church holds a time of light reflection and a soup and sandwich supper.

When: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday

Where: 1900 Cape LaCroix Road, Cape Girardeau

Fish fry

First Assembly of God will host an all-you-can-eat fish fry. The meal includes fried fish, potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, hush puppies, coffee and tea. Children 5 and younger eat free.

When: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday
