Oak Ridge First Baptist celebrates 100 years

The First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge will celebrate its 100th anniversary of the church's third sanctuary at the original church site beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. Period clothing will be worn and wagon rides will be available. A meal will be served after the 10:30 a.m. service. The church was organized in 1864. For more information, call (573) 266-3665.

Hoff joins staff at First Baptist Church in Cape

First Baptist Church at 1289 Lexington Ave. recently announced that Emily Hoff joined the church staff as youth activities director. Hoff is a student at Southeast Missouri State University and will graduate in May with a degree in psychology. At the church, she will coordinate learning, worship and outings for youths.
