Choral clinic to be held at Grace UMC Feb. 23

Vocal instructor Judith Farris and Southeast Missouri State University music department chair Dr. Gary Miller will hold a church choral clinic at 7 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The clinic is open to all area church choirs free of charge.

Cumberland Quartet to play in Scott City

The Cumberland Quartet of Branson, Mo., will perform at First Assembly of God in Scott City at 6 p.m. March 5. The concert is free.

World prayer day events planned for Friday

A special service in honor of 2006 World Day of Prayer will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First General Baptist Church in Jackson. The event's theme is "Signs of the Times" and is sponsored by Church Women United.
