Missouri Conservationist photographer and photo contest winners are on display at the Conservation Campus Nature Center during October. A temporary display of the work of Missouri Conservationist photographer, Noppadol Paothong, titled "My Favorite Photos and the Stories Behind Them" and the Mingo Flora & Fauna Photo Contest winners in several categories will be at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31. Paothong's goal as a Missouri Department of Conservation photographer is to make people care about nature and wildlife and understand the need to preserve precious natural resources through photographs. The Missouri Department of Conservation's monthly magazine has a monthly circulation of 500,000, and it's recognized as one of the largest of state wildlife magazines. The purpose of the photo contest is to showcase the myriad of nature and wildlife photo opportunities available at Mingo and support the growing interest of photography in the local area. For more information, contact the Nature Center at 290-5218.
