The Jackson Heritage Association recently awarded the Peerman Heritage Award to Kirk and Marybeth Williams. The award is given to those who have served the community in a variety of ways including employment, involvement with not-for-profits, and promotion of Jackson and its history. Kirk is a teacher at West Lane Elementary in Jackson School District and is employed by the Jackson City Pool. Marybeth, who received the award posthumously, was the executive director of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce from 2005 until her death.
