NEW YORK -- Want more from your makeup? Joey New York says the company's new lip collections will help you quit smoking, lose weight or, at the very least, attract men.
LipNix uses a fragrance blend of lemon, geranium and helichrysum -- a plant with an earthy smell -- that supposedly helps curb the urge to smoke. The combined scents stimulate the neural-receptors in the brain that have been conditioned to get stimulation from nicotine.
LipFit aims to inhibit appetite through the herbal cocktail of peppermint, grapefruit and spearmint. This blend is supposed to reduce cravings.
CinnaMen uses vanilla and cinnamon fragrances. They're supposed to increase the presence of pheromone-like substances. In aromatherapy, cinnamon is believed to be an aphrodisiac, and men supposedly associate the smells of vanilla and cinnamon with love.
Each collection is available in pink, red and peach shades and is offered in lipsticks, glosses, balms and a multi-shade lip palette.
