Local students earn scholarships

Six area students were awarded scholarships to assist with the cost of attendance at Southeast Missouri State University in the fall.

Tatiana Reagan of Cape Girardeau was awarded the Community College Scholarship. Reagan is a 2015 graduate of Shawnee Community College and a 2013 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, and is the daughter of James and Lorey Reagan of Cape Girardeau.

Jennifer Boyd of Cape Girardeau and Alyssa Kimmich of Jackson were awarded the Residence Life Leadership Award. Boyd is a 2016 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and the daughter of Luzet Boyd of Cape Girardeau. Kimmich is a 2016 graduate of Jackson High School and is the daughter of Jeremy Kimmich of Gordonville and Angie Randol of Jackson.

Kyle Stedman of Jackson was awarded the Governor's Scholarship. Stedman is a 2016 graduate of Jackson Senior High School and the son of Steve and Donna Stedman of Jackson.

Brandie Allen of Altenburg, Missouri, and Kendra Gosche of Cape Girardeau were awarded the Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship. Allen is a 2016 graduate of Perryville High School and the daughter of Kevin and Donna Allen of Altenburg. Gosche is a 2016 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and the daughter of David and Michele Gosche of Cape Girardeau.
