Tyler Lappe of Oak Ridge, a nine-year member of the Arnsberg 4-H Club, was chosen to serve as one of the teen representatives on the National 4-H Congress Planning committee. Eligibility for the award includes 4-H membership, winning at the state level to attend the National 4-H Congress and serving as a delegate. Members can then apply to be on the National Planning Committee for the next National Congress. Only two 4-H members from the state of Missouri have previously served on the National Congress Planning Committee. Lappe is currently planning the National 4-H Congress 2009, which will be held in November in Atlanta. He is the son of Pamela and Tom Lappe of Oak Ridge.
