Scholarships

* Laura Felter of Benton, Mo., received a Charter Collegiate Scholarship Award. Laura will be attending the University of Missouri in Columbia.

* Amanda Bradley of Cape Girardeau received the International Association of Administrative Professionals fall 2009 scholarship from the Girardot chapter of the organization. She is a student at Southeast Missouri State University.

* Megan Moore of Cape Girardeau and Landon Wallace of Jackson received Burlington North Santa Fe Foundation college scholarships. Moore will attend Missouri State University in Springfield, and Wallace will attend University of Missouri in Kansas City.

* The following students received scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2009-2010 academic year: Jake T. Tropf of Advance and Kayla C. Lynn of Jackson has received a MAP Scholarship; Dallas R. Tew of Scott City and Tiffany Danielle Glastetter of Oran received a Community College Scholarship; Christopher M. Roth received a Bright Flight Scholarship.

* The following students received health-care scholarships from the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation and Saint Francis Auxiliary: Kelly Irvin of Leopold, Mo.; Carolyn Wilson, Kaitlyn Scheeter, Angela Holland and Raine VonNida, all of Cape Girardeau; Caitlin Scheeter and Eric Welter of Chaffee, Mo.; Mindy Robert of Benton; Christopher Wright of Scott City; Alex Ressel of Kelso, Mo., all in the field of nursing; Karen Obermann of Chaffee, Shannon James of Cape Girardeau and Richard Bohn of Scott City, all in the field of pharmacy; Kalli Gibbs of Jackson for occupational therapy; Ellen Sikes of Oran, Mo., for dietetics; Lauren Beussink of Cape Girardeau for ultrasound technology; Trevor Beckham and Andrew Valleroy of Cape Girardeau for medical/physician.

Honors

* Lauren Lamb and Joe Kiefner represented Cape Girardeau Central High School at the 13th annual Leadership in Practice program in Mexico, Mo. Isaac Protzel also represented Notre Dame Regional High School. The program gives high school sophomores the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, simulations and discussions designed to develop their leadership skills.

* Alisha Danielle Craft of Jackson became a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
