George Kenneth Hamilton of Town and Country, Missouri, a graduate of Priory and the grandson of Loretta Schneider of Cape Girardeau and son of Steve and Ann Hamilton, was nominated by Rep. Ann Wagner, and has been admitted to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He will report to the academy on June 30.
Christopher J. Schneider of Helena, Montana, the grandson of Loretta Schneider of Cape Girardeau and son of LTC James and LTC Beverley Schneider, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He is serving his internship at Great Lakes Naval Base.
Preston Hahn of Oran, Missouri, recently was awarded a $1,500 America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. Hahn will study agronomy and crop science this fall at Mississippi State University.
Sara Gholson of Jackson was awarded a $2,500 SEMO District Fair Foundation Scholarship. Gholson plans to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, to pursue a degree in animal science. Gholson, a graduate of Jackson High School, is the daughter of Gary and Barbara Gholson of Jackson.
