DEADLINES

The application deadline for the Ruth A. Buckhannon Memorial R.N. Scholarship is April 23. The $4,000 award will be granted to a graduating senior from a Scott County public high school. Applications and guidelines can be obtained from Chaffee High School counselor Brandi Ritter at 573-887-3226. Applicants are required to submit an application, two letters of recommendation and an essay describing why they want to become a registered nurse and why they should be awarded the scholarship.

The application deadline for the SEMO District Fair Foundation Scholarship for agriculture-related majors is April 30. Applications are available at www.semofair.com, by e-mail at triplep@showme.net or by calling 573-243-5856. Students must be sophomores, juniors or have competed 30 hours by the end of spring semester. This scholarship is for past fair participants with a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
