Christine Sturms of Jackson, Stacy Estes of Gordonville, Kelly Randolph and Elizabeth Kluesner, both of Altenburg, Mo., and Kory Kluesner and Victoria Senciboy, both of Oran, Mo., have been awarded Missouri Leadership scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2007 to 2008 academic year. Sturms and Estes are seniors at Jackson High School. Sturms is the daughter of Jay and Karen Sturms. Estes is the daughter of Michael and Joyce Estes. Randolph, a senior at Perryville High School, is the daughter of Sarah Randolph of Altenburg, Mo., and Brian Randolph of Cape Girardeau. Elizabeth Kluesner, a senior at Jackson High School, is the daughter of Teri and William Kluesner. Kory Kluesner and Senciboy are seniors at Oran High School. Kory Kluesner is the son of Michael and Kyle Kluesner. Senciboy is the daughter of Debra Frala of Oran and Gary Senciboy Jr. of Perkins, Mo.

n Ashley Leible of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Missouri Leadership Award and a Missouri Assessment Program Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2007-2008 semester. A senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, she is the daughter of Liz and Larry Martin of Cape Girardeau and Mike Leible of Bertrand, Mo.

Honors lists

n Heather Tuschhoff, Sarah Hinkebein, Kevin Niedbalski and Kremer Rampley, all of Jackson; and Derek Palisch of Altenburg, Mo., have been named to the 2006 fall semester dean's list at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

  • The Kelso C-7 School District will hold kindergarten registration from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 19 in the school cafeteria. Parents of children who will be 5 years old before Aug. 1 should attend. Parents should bring their children's birth certificates, immunization records and Social Security numbers. Registration and enrollment forms will be completed at the meeting. Kindergarten screenings will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 21. Appointments are required to complete the one-hour screening, which will take place at the St. Lawrence Parish Hall in New Hamburg, Mo.
  • The Egyptian Early Learning Center, which includes Head Start and pre-kindergarten, will hold Child Find screenings and kindergarten registration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Egyptian School. Screening includes hearing, vision, speech, language, motor, cognitive and socialization skills testing. Parents should bring children's birth certificates, Social Security cards or numbers and proof of income. Call (618) 776-5251, extension 176 for an appointment.
