Local students earn scholarships

The following students have been awarded scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2017-2018 academic year. Lindsay Peters, Krista Martin and Madison Sitzes of Cape Girardeau and Matthew Woodfin of Marble Hill, Missouri, received scholarships.Samantha Schnicker of Jackson was awarded the Regents' Scholarship. Schnicker is the daughter of John and Sandy Schnicker of Jackson and will be a 2017 graduate of Jackson Senior High School. Conner Propst of Cape Girardeau was awarded the University Scholarship. Propst is the daughter of Stanley and Lisa Propst of Cape Girardeau and will be a 2017 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. Aslee Shovan of Jackson was awarded the University Scholarship. Shovan is the daughter of Michael and Kia Shovan of Jackson and will be a 2017 graduate of Jackson Senior High School.
