The Cape Girardeau School District will hold kindergarten enrollment and screening for all children who will be attending kindergarten for the 2007 to 2008 school year. To be eligible, children must turn 5 on or before July 31. Parents can call the Parents As Teachers office at 651-3703 to set up a screening. All screenings will be at 301 N. Clark St. The kindergarten roundup will be 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 12 and 14, and 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 13 and 15, school officials said. Parents should bring a copy of their child's shot record, birth certificate, proof of address and child's Social Security card.
Immaculate Conception School in Jackson will conduct enrollment for 2007 to 2008 preschool and kindergarten starting at 8 a.m. Feb. 21 at the school at 300 S. Hope St. Parents should bring a copy of the child's Social Security card, immunization record, birth certificate and baptism certificate if baptized. The school will host an open house from noon to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The public is invited and families with children, ranging in age from preschool through eighth grade, are encouraged to attend. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the teachers and tour the classrooms.
