Jelly fungi will dry up and be almost unnoticeable on dead wood during dry weather.

When wet weather returns, jelly fungi will reappear and land snails will have a feast.

The snails in this photo are about one-fifth of an inch across.

A close look will reveal two very tiny baby snails just above the largest snail.

They looked so dainty, even a touch of my finger may have damaged or crushed them.
