Jackson students attend Boys State

Local Jackson High School students recently attended the American Legion Boys State of Missouri on the campus of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. The Jackson students attending Boys State were Don Perry, Bretth Leimbach, Jack Meyer, Ryan Gibson, Jordan Thomas, Bob Overman and Tyler Tuschhoff. The American Legion program employs the "Learn by Doing" method of teaching the basic principles of democracy. While there the Jackson students experienced a functional understanding of the local and state government.
