Separating the yolk from an egg white can be frustrating, but all you need is a water bottle to easily do the job.
STEP 1: Crack the uncooked egg and pour the contents onto the paper plate.
STEP 2: Using the empty water bottle, design a tool that will separate the yolk from the rest of the egg.
Through trial and error, you'll discover, squeezing the water bottle is key. Once squeezed and placed against the yolk of the egg, then released, the yolk is sucked up into the bottle, separating from the rest of the egg. The higher pressure on the outside of the water bottle pushes the yolk into the bottle. This happens because of suction, which is the flow of a fluid from an area of higher pressure to an area of lower pressure.
