Did you know you can use science to create the spookiest Halloween ever at your house?
* Dry ice
* Warm water
* Bowl
* Gloves
STEP 2: Put the gloves on and place a piece of the dry ice into the water and observe.
When you placed the dry ice into the warm water a cloud formed above the bowl. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and is minus 109.3 degrees. As dry ice breaks down it turns directly into carbon dioxide gas. In science this process is called sublimation. You can discover more hands-on experiments by going to www.hookedonscience.org.
