Make your own rainbow of hair gels using just food coloring and a few things from around the house.

Materials

* Transparent hair gel

* Food coloring

* Zip-top bag

* Four squeeze bottles

Instructions

STEP 1: Fill each of the squeeze bottles halfway with the transparent hair gel.

STEP 2: Using the food coloring, add a different color to each squeeze bottle. Fill the bottles the rest of the way with transparent hair gel, screw on the tops and vigorously shake each bottle.

STEP 3: Open a zip-top bag and squeeze two of the colored hair gels into the bag without mixing. Close the bag and then mix the colors.

Explanation

If you mix two primary colors together, you create a secondary color. Blue and red create purple; red and yellow create orange; yellow and blue create green.
