Smoking cessation programs receive grant
Saint Francis Medical Center has received a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health to implement work site tobacco cessation programs. The two-year grant will enable the medical center to provide work site tobacco cessation efforts in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Perry and Stoddard counties. Saint Francis will provide American Lung Association behavior-modification programs to willing smokers. Participants will be charged a nominal fee for the program, which will be refunded to those who quit successfully after 6 months in the programs.
