Parish nursing seminar on end of life issues from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Generations Center at Southeast Missouri Hospital. The session will be presented in two parts: advanced directives, which explains the legal documentation for making treatment decisions and Compassion Sabbath, which offers resources to congregations and church leaders who are dealing with serious illness and end-of-life issues in the church. The program will be presented by Julie Metzger, social services coordinator, and the Rev. Dr. Bill Matzat, director of pastoral care.

Indoor triathlon from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Main Street Fitness in Jackson, Mo. The triathlon, sponsored by Southeast Missouri Hospital's Fitness and Wellness Center, will continue through March 9. Events are two miles on a treadmill, two miles on a stair-stepper and a five-mile Airdyne bike ride. The goal is to finish in the fastest time. Prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place finishers. Entry fee is $10 and includes a T-shirt. To register, call Main Street Fitness at 243-2211.
