Generosity: Rushing Trust gives to Hope Children's Home

The Rushing Family Trust made a $2,650 donation to Hope Children's Home in Jackson, a transitional home for area children when they are taken into protective custody. Children receive care, meals, clothing and medical, dental and psychological screenings while arrangements for foster care are made. Commemorating the lives of C.W. "Woody" and Evelyn Rushing, the mission of The Rushing Family Trust is to make a positive difference in the lives of disadvantaged women and children and others with extraordinary needs. Funds were raised at the 15th Annual Captain Woody Rushing Golf Tournament held at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson. A total of $10,800 will be donated to 16 charities as a result of the 2013 tournament. From left are Julie Tillman, Todd Rushing, Crissy Mayberry and Dawn Caruso.
