Scott City alumni establish scholarship

The Scott City High School Alumni Scholarship has been established through the Southeast Missouri University Foundation. The Illmo-Fornfelt-Ancell-Scott City High School alumni represented by Gary Miller, president, Sondra Spinks, treasurer, and Janet Bockting, corresponding secretary, made a $10,000 gift to endow the scholarship. The gift will be matched with an additional $10,000 through a foundation matching gift program, Honoring Tradition--Inspiring Success Comprehensive Campaign. The renewable scholarship will be awarded to a Southeast student who is a graduate of Scott City High School. The student will be entering their second year at the university with a declared major. A minimum 3.0 grade point average is required. The recipient will be selected by the University Scholarship Committee.
