Benefit set for Glastetter family

Stooges in Jackson will host a benefit for the family of Wyatt Glastetter from 2 to 9 p.m. today. Among the 14 musical acts performing are The Southern Brothers, Roni Putz, Casey Benefield, Abbie Fieser and Friends, Bittersweet, Chris Welch, Doug E. Rees, Heather Stortz and Bill Lang, Mark Rees, Ashley Usrey, Holly Benton and Kevin Engert, Bruce Zimmerman, Barnet Gurley and Old School Hype. There will be silent and live auctions. Reserved seats cost $25. Fifty percent of proceeds will be donated to the family. More information is available by calling 573-204-7187.

United Way to host piano concert

Craft Brew Corner and United Way of Southeast Missouri will host Dueling Pianos May 9 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the show from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is open to anyone 18 years old and older. Entertainment is by Spanky Entertainment of St. Louis. A single ticket is $35 in advance and $40 at the door; tables of eight may be purchased at a discounted rate of $250. All tickets include light appetizers and one beverage. Additional craft beer beverages may be ordered in advance at craftbrewcorner.com to pick up the night of the event. Tickets may be purchased in person at United Way of Southeast Missouri, BOLD Marketing and Bluff City Beer or online at craftbrewcorner.com or unitedwayofsemo.org. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Southeast Missouri. Skelton reunion planning underway

Members of the Skelton family and their relatives, members of the Mathis, Hensley, Hinson, Whittle, Shoemaker, Crowell, LaRue and Cotham families, are invited to the Skelton reunion June 20 at the Community Building, 115 Smith Ave. in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Wine festival set April 10
