Rummage sale scheduled in Jackson

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson will hold a rummage sale to help raise money for the church's mission outreach program. This year the mission team will travel to Guatemala to help with a construction project and local vacation Bible school. The fundraiser is co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial Chapter 30281. The sale will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 18, 19 and 20 and from 7 a.m. to noon Feb. 21. Included in the sale will be furniture and other household goods, kitchen items, baby gear and clothing. The sale will be in the church fellowship hall, 223 W. Adams St. More information is available by calling 573-579-3407.

Blood donations sought

The American Red Cross has scheduled several area blood-donation opportunities in February. All blood types are needed, especially types O negative, A negative and B negative. Sausage breakfast in Scott City

St. Joseph Home and School will host a sausage breakfast from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 15 at the St. Joseph Gymnasium, 605 Sycamore St. in Scott City. The menu will include link sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and mixed fruit. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 through 12; there is no charge for those ages 5 and younger. Pre-orders for sausage are being taken; cost is $2.75 per pound for bulk sausage and $3.25 per pound for link sausage. Pick-up will be available Feb. 14 and 15. Delta seniors to meet

The Delta Senior Citizens will be at the Delta Community Center at 11 a.m. Wednesday for a Valentine-themed meeting and an exchange of Valentine cards. Jazz performance at Centenary Church

Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau will host a jazz service at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 15. It will feature the 12-piece Jerry Ford Orchestra performing "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "Holy, Holy, Holy." Dr. Andrew Moore, oncologist at SoutheastHEALTH, will join the band in singing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and"I Believe."
