Friedrich family to hold reunion

Descendants of Jacob and Marguaritha Friedrich

will have a reunion from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 16 at Delmonico's Restaurant. Attendees are asked to bring family memorabilia.

Delta senior citizens to meet

The Delta senior citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Delta Community Building for bingo, puzzles, games and fellowship. Ilena Aslin will present a program, "Seniors Staying Sharp," and Don Hester will provide musical entertainment. Lunch will be served at noon. St. Mary Parish picnic to be Aug. 30

The parish picnic of St. Mary Cathedral Parish in Cape Girardeau will be Aug. 30, after the 10:30 Mass, at the church green space and will include live music, bounce house, games, snow-cones and cotton candy and a water slide kickball game. Frederick Street will be closed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Church to offer Financial Peace University

Connection Point Church, 1506 S. Farmington Road in Jackson, will offer Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University 3:30 to 5 p.m. starting Sept. 13 for nine weeks. Senior Games set in Perryville

The 15th annual Southeast Missouri Senior Games, for athletes 50 years old and older, will be held Aug. 19 thorough 22 at the Perry Park Center in Perryville, Missouri; there are nine age divisions. Monday is the registration deadline. More information is available by calling (573) 547-7275.

Miraculous Medal seeks volunteers

The Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Missouri, seeks volunteers for grounds maintenance, office work and other duties. In addition to general volunteers, junior and senior high school students seeking Christian service hours are invited to apply. Fish fry scheduled in Scott City

The Scott City First Assembly of God will host an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. The meal includes fried fish, potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, hush puppies, coffee and tea.
