St. Paul rummage sale to benefit mission outreach

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 223 W. Adams St. in Jackson, is hosting a "Christmas in July" rummage sale/fundraiser to support the church's mission outreach program. The sale will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday. The fundraiser is co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial Chapter 30281. This year's sale will have lots of "new" Christmas merchandise and knickknacks. We are also accepting donations such as baked goods, furniture, linens, floral, books, lamps, household decor, kitchen utensils, pots 'n' pans, small electrical appliances, toys and baby equipment. You may bring donations to St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall beginning at noon today and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Volunteers are needed to help with the sale. If you would like to assist with the rummage sale or have any questions concerning the sale, contact Mary Winterhof at 243-5080.

Church to giveaway school supplies

Burfordville Baptist Church will be giving away school supplies for children kindergarten through sixth grade from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 3. For more information, call 243-5602.
