The Gordonville Grill in Gordonville will have 10 percent Tuesday this week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the World War II Veterans Honor Tour. The World War II Veterans Honor Tour funds trips to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II memorial and other monuments.

Baptist church holds pre-Easter revival

The Fairview General Baptist Church will have a pre-Easter revival at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Fairview General Baptist Church. Evangelist Brother Scott Cook will be there and each night will have special singing.

Maundy Thursday dinner at church

The First Presbyterian Church in Jackson is having a Maundy Thursday Seder dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday. To attend, make reservations by calling 243-4265.

The Discovery Playhouse will have seasonal arts and activities from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Activities will include decorating eggs and hunting for bunnies.

Memorial Walk/Run to be held in Oran

The second annual Memorial Walk/Run will be at 9 a.m. April 30 at Oran High School in Oran, Mo. The event is held to support the memorial scholarship funds created in memory of Alexis "Lexi" Cummins and Austin "Tut" Todt. The race will begin and end at Oran High School's parking lot. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Preregistration is $20, and registration on the day of the race is $25. Organization offers summer day camp

Cape Girardeau Cultural Exchange Network will host a summer day camp for students entering second through eighth grades. The camp will run daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 through 14. On July 15 students will take a field trip to the 1904 World's Fair Exhibit at the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis. Mornings will be dedicated to soccer training and afternoons will be used for emphasis on global knowledge and cultural understanding through games and activities. The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri is looking for items for its annual yard sale. The yard sale will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 3 and 4 at the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, 2536 Boutin Drive.
