Jackson schools are hosting the annual Run/Walk for Wellness: 5K or 1 mile starting at 8 a.m. April 27 at Jackson High School. Proceeds will benefit Jackson School District's BackPacks For Friday Program to help end child hunger in the area. 'Health Neighborhood' to be started at Cape library
SoutheastHEALTH and the Cape Girardeau Public Library will begin a "Health Neighborhood" partnership as part of National ibrary Week, which will be recognized Monday through Saturday. Health materials regarding topics such as diabetes, pregnancy, Alzheimer's and fitness and nutrition will be grouped together and labeled for easier access. Canvas bags containing materials on health topics will be available for checkout. A hands-only CPR demonstration will be given from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the library.
