Fairview General Baptist Church will hold pre-Easter revivals starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at the church, 6509 County Road 253 in Advance, Mo. So. Ill. Train Club Model holding railroad show

The Southern Illinois Train Club will host a model railroad show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the civic center in Benton, Ill. Admission is $3 for adults and free for children ages 12 and younger with a paid adult. Vendor tables and operating layouts in several scales will be featured. Harmony Church Easter events

Harmony Church will hold a free Resurrection Egg Hunt and Easter Morning sunrise service at the church on Highway 34 near Marble Hill, Mo. More than 10,000 special resurrection eggs that teach the message of Christ will be out for children to hunt 10 a.m. Saturday. A picnic lunch will follow. Campbell Cemetery cleanup day set for April 6

The annual Campbell Cemetery cleanup day is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon April 6. Campbell Cemetery is on U.S. 61, one mile south of Scott County Central High School, with access across the street from Eftink Construction. For more information, call 573-820-7936.

The value of community trees

The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a value of community trees workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. April 4 at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. Good Friday communion dinner

Cape Nazarene Church will host a communion dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at the church. There will be an authentic Last Supper meal with communion service. Missouri Mission of Mercy seeking volunteers

The Missouri Mission of Mercy is in need of volunteers for its free dental clinic to underserved people. The event will begin at 5 a.m. May 3 and 4 at the Show Me Center. The clinic will provide cleanings, fillings and extractions for people who are unable to afford them otherwise. Egg hunt at Hunter-Dawson State Historical Site

The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a free Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday for children ages 3 to 10 at Hunter-Dawson State Historical Site in New Madrid, Mo. Participants are invited to bring their own basket and hunt for more than 1,300 eggs. Children will be divided into four age groups and prizes will be awarded after the hunt. Health Department Public Health Week

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Department will hold events for National Public Health Week, April 1 through 5. The theme is "Public Health is ROI: Return on Investment -- Save Lives, Save Money." According to organizers, supporting public health initiatives makes for healthier communities and reduces costs in treating diseases. The health department will hold the following events:

* April 1 and 2: Environmental public health specialists will collect water samples from private wells in the county at no cost.

* April 3: Emergency and disaster preparedness display will show sample kits and booklets anyone can make.

* April 4: Sun safety education and screenings will offer free skin cancer screenings.

Colon cancer prevention session set for Wednesday

SoutheastHEALTH will host a free colon cancer prevention session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrison Room in Southeast Hospital. C. Brent Keller of Southeast Gastroenterology and dietitian Tricia Friess of the Southeast Cancer Center will speak about colon cancer, risk factors, the importance of a healthy diet and steps you can take to lower your risk of colon cancer. Jackson Area Youth Football camp sign-ups
