Chicken and dumpling/kettle beef dinner set

A chicken and dumpling/kettle beef dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the Jackson Knights of Columbus Hall, 3305 N. High St. in Jackson. The dinner will include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls, slaw and dessert.

Fish supper to be held in New Wells

Immanuel Lutheran Church, 320 County Road 516 in New Wells, will host a fish supper from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today. The cost for adults is $10 , $5 for children ages 6 to 11 and free for children 5 and younger.

Breakfast and bake sale planned

A breakfast and bake sale will be held from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph Church Hall, 138 St. Joseph Lane in Apple Creek, Missouri. The cost for adults is $8, $4 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger. Carry-outs will be available and all money raised will be matched by Western Catholic Union.

Euchre tournament planned

The Daughters of St. Ambrose will host a euchre tournament today at St. Ambrose Parish Center, 418 S. 3rd St. in Chaffee, Missouri. The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and play begins at 1 p.m. Food will be available. The cost is $10 per table.

St. Joseph School to host breakfast

A sausage breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, at St. Joseph School, 606 Sycamore St., in Scott City. The menu will include link sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, mixed fruit, juice, coffee and milk.

Scott City to hold kindergarten registration

The Scott City R-1 School District will host kindergarten registration and screening for the 2017-18 school year at Scott City Elementary on March 8 and 9. To be eligible, children must turn 5 before Aug. 1. Appointments must be made in advance by calling the Elementary office at (573) 264-2131.

Jackson Baseball League registration

The Jackson Baseball League is holding registration for players (ages 5 to 12), coaches, sponsors and umpires until March 9.

Heart & Soles 5K to be held

The Heart & Soles 5K, hosted by the Southeast Hospital College of Nursing & Health Sciences, will be held April 8 at Arena Park.

The event, which also will include a 1-mile walk, will begin at 8:30 a.m. Registration will be held at 7:30 a.m. at Shelter 1.

The entry fee is $20 per person with a T-shirt and $15 without a T-shirt. Forms and payments can be picked up and dropped off at Heatlhpoint Fitness-Jackson, and registration can also be done online at www.active.com.
