Gift drive for vicitims of sexual abuse held

The SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence/Beacon Health Center is requesting Christmas gifts for families and children affected by physical or sexual abuse. The agency has seven families including 13 children who need help with Christmas gifts. The families are screened by agency staff to ensure that they are truly in need of assistance for their children. To donate or for more information, call Beacon Health Center at 332-1900. Monetary donations will allow the agency to purchase gifts for the children, or donors can ask for a list of gifts the children have requested and bring the gifts to any of the Beacon offices in Cape Girardeau, Benton or Perryville.
