The Salvation Army will be serving Meals with Friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 701 Good Hope St. Carry-outs will be available from 5:30 to 6 p.m. each day. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a hot meal and friendly atmosphere at no cost. The week's menu will be chicken and rice with corn on Monday; ham and beans, and cornbread Tuesday; spaghetti and green beans on Wednesday; ham, mashed potatoes and corn Thursday; and homemade chicken soup on Friday. NBC's 2008 "America's Got Talent" winner Neal E. Boyd will be performing at the Three Rivers Community College men's basketball homecoming game at 7 p.m. Feb. 27, in the Bess Activity Center on the Three River's campus. Boyd won the 2008 NBC talent competition with his vocal performances of classical and contemporary music. In June, Universal Music released Boyd's first studio album titled "My American Dream." Tickets are $5 at the door.
The Heartland Pops Chorus is looking for new singers who would be interested in performing in one or both of its upcoming performances on May 23 and Sept. 12 at CrossRoads Fellowship Church.
